The second night at the hospital, I kicked Chris out to go home and get some real sleep (between the constant interruption from nurses and the super uncomfortable sleeper sofa, he wasn't getting any sleep, and I needed him at 100% to cater to my every whim and desire during the day). My friend Wendy came up to spend the night, which was something I was lucky enough to get to do with her when her son was born. While she was there, she took some family pictures for us with my "nice" camera. I overestimated the amount of time I'd have to take nice pictures of her. I also overestimated the desire I'd have to do so, since it meant putting the baby down for seconds. SECONDS! I kind of wish I had, but I'm glad Wendy was there to step up where I slacked.
These are gorgeous!
